GARRATTSVILLE---Floyd J. Card, 85, died Tuesday in
Binghamton. He had been ill for about a year.
Funeral is at 2 p. m. Friday at the Houk funeral Home
in Edmeston. The Rev. Wilfred Lyon, pastor of the Morris Methodist
Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Edmeston Union Cemetery.
Mr. Card was born Sept. 4, 1869, in Pittsfield
township, son of William and Sarah E. Card. He was married on Dec.
21, 1895, in Cooperstown to Rose Belle White, who survives.
Mr. Card was a general store proprietor in
Garratttsville since 1925, coming here from Edmeston, where he also
operated a store. Prior to that he was Pittsfield town
superintendent of highways.
Survivors include one son, Ralph Card, Pittsfield;
three grandsons, Douglas and Phillip of Edmeston and Ralph Jr. of
South Edmeston; one granddaughter, Mrs. Arline Pickens,
Garrattsville, and three great grandsons, all of Garrattsville; one
brother, Percy Card, Pittsfield; one sister, Mrs. Laurence McLane,
Hartwick.
