Nancy C. Bronson
MORRIS — Nancy C. (Martin) Bronson, of Morris, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at home, following a lengthy illness.
Nancy was born in Mystic, Conn., on June 28, 1937, the daughter of Rhoda (Hicks) and the late Earl J. Martin of Otego.  She lived in Mystic, Conn., and Bethpage, before marrying her husband, Norman Bronson, in Syracuse. Moving to Otego early in their marriage, they purchased a 100-acre dairy farm outside of Morris, where they raised three children.
She was a member of the former Susquehanna Valley Grange. She loved her family and all of her animals, especially cats and enjoyed tending to her vegetable and flower gardens.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Norman, of 54 years; a son, Brian, Bellflower, Calif.; and two daughters and sons-in-law, Betty Lou and John Adamovich, Schoharie and Beth and William Troop, Beach Lake, Pa.; her mother, Rhoda Martin, of Otego; four brothers, Gilbert (and Maree) Martin, Raleigh, N.C., Earl (and Patty) Martin Jr., Georgetown, Mass., Harry (and Barbara) Martin, Otego, Glenn (and Teddye) Martin, Taylorsville, Ga.; two sisters,  Vera Hotaling, South Kortright and Beth (and Frank) Westcott, Moravia; four grandchildren,  Robert Troop, Virginia, Sarah Troop, Pennsylvania, Catherine (Wilson) Troop, Georgia, Angelina Adamovich, Schoharie; one great-grandchild, Madison Shafer, Beach Lake, Pa.; two cousins; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her father, Earl J. Martin and a sister, Alicia.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Catskill Area Hospice and Palliative Care, Friends of Bassett, ASPCA, and Morris Emergency Squad.
Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, May 19, at the Johnston Funeral Home in Morris. Funeral services will be held at noon on Monday May 20, at the United Methodist Church in Morris and the family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until service time at the church.
Interment will follow in the Hillington Cemetery in Morris. Arrangements are by the Johnston Funeral Home of Morris.

NEW LISBON — Adrien E. Bundy, 84, of New Lisbon, died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2001, at Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown.
He was born Nov. 24, 1916, in New Berlin, the son of William and Flora (Knox) Bundy.
He was married to Dorothy Kennedy. She predeceased him in 1983.
Adrien was a dairy farmer operating on Bundy Road.
He was a member of the Wharton Valley Grange, the Garrattsville Fire Department and a lifetime member of Eastern Milk Producers.
Adrien was devoted to his family and farm.
He is survived by his children and their spouses, William and Donna Bundy, John Bundy and Lynn Alsheimer, Jim and Marilyn Bundy; his grandchildren, Lisa, Keith, Tom, Nathan and Katrina Bundy; his brother, Carl Bundy; and sister, Florence Card.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2001, at noon at the Houk-Johnston-Terry Funeral Home, Edmeston, with the Rev. Lorraine Zimmerman officiating. Calling hours are from 10 a.m. to noon before the service.
Interment will be at Edmeston Union Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Adrien's memory to the Garrattsville Fire Department.

MILFORD CENTER — Mrs. Nadine Grace Couse, 64, of Milford Center, died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2001.
She was born on Feb. 1, 1937, in Burlington Green, a daughter of Hanford and Lillian (Clum) Richards.
Nadine attended schools in Hartwick.
She married Glenn Couse on July 24, 1954.
Mrs. Couse spent most of her time raising her family, but did work at the Upstate Home for Children for 10 years. She and her family have resided in Milford Center for the past 35 years.
Nadine enjoyed crocheting, holidays with family and friends and devoted herself to her family.
She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Glenn; a daughter and son-in-law, Gwen and Dennis White of Laurens; four sons, Donald Couse of Portlandville, David and Mary Couse of Unadilla, Dennis Couse of Oneonta and Dale Couse and Ruth of Milford; three grandsons, David and Phil Couse of Richmond, Va., and Shawn Callahan of Oneonta; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Evelyn Jacobs of Cherry Valley, Wanda Aney of Milford Center and Betty and Walter Wahl of Madison; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald and Maryann Richards of Oneonta and Neil and Dorothy Richards of Milford; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a brother, Carlon Richards.
A funeral service will be on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2001, at 11 a.m. at the Tillapaugh Funeral Home in Milford, with the Rev. Robert Kazinski, pastor of the Milford United Methodist Church, officiating.
Calling hours will be on Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2001, at the Tillapaugh Funeral Home in Milford from 7 to 9 p.m., when the family will be in attendance.Burial will be in the spring in the Milford Center Cemetery.Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Tillapaugh Funeral Service, Cooperstown and Milford.

DADE CITY, Fla. — Mildred F. (Bemis) Darling, 80, died Jan. 17, 2002, at Heritage Park Specialty Center, where she had resided for several years.
She was born Dec. 11, 1921, in Morris, N.Y., the daughter of Worthy and Irene (Colburn) Bemis.
She first married Frank E. Bryant, and later married Lester Darling, who predeceased her on June 9, 1999.
She is survived by a son and two daughters and their spouses, Frank N. (Stub) and Shirley Bryant of West Laurens, N.Y., Florence and Donald Gildner of Pembroke Pines, Fla., and Sally and Darwin Card, of New Berlin, N.Y.; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was laid to rest in Chapel Hill Gardens, Dade City, Fla.

NEW BERLIN — Kenneth Bruce Eccleston, 91, of New Berlin and formerly of Morris, died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1999, at Chenango Memorial Hospital in Norwich.
He was born in Binghamton on Nov. 21, 1907, the son of George and Frances (Conklin) Eccleston.
He married Ruth Turner on April 29, 1927, in Atlantic City, N.J. They recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary together.
He had worked for the Raymond Corporation for 17 years, and prior to that had worked for Jim Menitt Trucking, The Linn Tractor Co., and at one time had worked for the town of Morris Highway Department.
They had lived in New Berlin since 1985, and had formerly resided on Hargrave Street in Morris.
He attended the United Methodist Church in Morris.
Ken is survived by his wife, Ruth of New Berlin; a son, Carl Eccleston and his wife, Bernice, of New Berlin; a brother, Harold Eccleston of Chenango Bridge; a sister, Blanche Barbour of Atlantic City, N.J.; grandchildren, Carlette and Larry Brownell of Amsterdam and Sharel Eccleston of Kenosha, Wis.; great-grandchildren, Tanya, Melinda and Alicia Brownell; three sisters-in-law, Dorothy, Vivian and Ester Eccleston; several stepgrandchildren, stepgreat-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by four brothers, Leon, Leslie, Paul and Phillip Eccleston.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 13, 1999, at the Johnston Funeral Home in Morris, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Joseph Fiske officiating. Burial will be in Hillington Cemetery in the spring. Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
Contributions may be made to the Morris United Methodist Church or the New Berlin Emergency Squad in his memory.

NEW BERLIN — Ruth Corrine Eccleston, 92, of New Berlin, and formerly of Morris, died Saturday, June 2, 2001, at the Valley View Manor Nursing Home in Norwich.
She was born in Morris on Dec. 15, 1908, the daughter of Jonathan and Mary (Gardner) Turner.
She married Kenneth Eccleston on April 29, 1927, in Atlantic City, N.J. He died Feb. 10, 1999.
She had been employed by the H.W. Naylor Co. in Morris for more than 22 years.
She and her husband had resided in New Berlin, since 1985, and before that they were lifelong Morris residents.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Morris.
She was well-known for her knitting of mittens and then giving them to all the children in the area and also her pride in feeding and helping people in need.
Ruth is survived by her son, Carl Eccleston and his wife, Bernice, of New Berlin; two granddaughters, Carlette Brownell and her husband, Larry, of Amsterdam and Shari Eccleston of Wisconsin; three stepgranddaughters, Ann Downey and her husband, Dennis, of Norwich, Alice Church of Sherburne and Patricia James of New Berlin; one stepgrandson, David James of Morris; three nephews, Paul Knickerbocker and his wife, Helen, of Pittsfield, Milton Knickerbocker and his wife, Dorthia, of Morris and Charles Turner and his wife, Florence, of South Edmeston; along with 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Three sisters, Clara Carpenter, Emma Stebbins and Louise Knickerbocker; and two brothers, Fred and Harry Turner; predeceased her.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 6, 2001, at 11 a.m. at the Johnston Funeral Home in Morris, with the Rev. Joseph Fiske officiating. Burial will be in the Hillington Cemetery in Morris. Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

NEW LISBON — Louis A.W. Enders, 80, of New Lisbon, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2002, at his home in New Lisbon.
He was born in Pelham on Jan. 31, 1922, the son of Louis A.W. Enders and Dorothy (Femister) Enders.
He married Joyce Mansfield on Feb. 28, 1942, in the Zion Episcopal Church in Morris. They would have been married 60 years at the end of this month.
Louis was a mechanical engineer who was employed by Babcock & Wilcox of Boston, Mass., for many years.
His interests included bow hunting, photography and the great outdoors. He was also an avid animal lover and downhill (Alpine) skier.
He is also remembered by his friends and family for inventing various useful gadgets.
Louis is survived by his wife, Joyce, of New Lisbon; his two children, Lucia Davison and her husband, Jeffrey, of Jericho, Vt., and Mark Enders and his wife, Sarah, of Pleasant View, Utah. He was blessed with four grandchildren, Lea and Sabra Davison and Zane and Destrey Enders. A sister, Carole Mirabella of Scarsdale, and a favorite nephew, Chip Mirabella of Wappingers Falls, also survive him.
The family will receive friends at the Johnston Funeral Home in Morris, on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2002, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
A graveside memorial service will be held in the spring at the Enders family plot in Hillington Cemetery, Morris.
Those who wish may make donations to The Salvation Army, 25 River St., Oneonta, NY in Louis' memory.
Funeral arrangements are by the Johnston Funeral Home of Morris.
