Cooperstown, June 28---The funeral of Dr. Milton G.
Wright was very largely attended from his late home in Mt. Vision at
2 o'clock this afternoon. Rev. Miles Lowell Yates, rector of Christ
church of this village, officiated and burial was made in the family
plot in the Hartwick cemetery.
The bearers were old-time neighbors of the deceased,
and included Carl Cleveland, Burt Pearsons, Bruce Robinson,
Charles Beckley, Leon Dixon, and Horace Harrison.
Many beautiful floral pieces from friends and
organizations with which the much beloved physician had been
affiliated, gave silent testimony of the high esteem in which he was
held. Officers and directors of the First national bank of
Cooperstown with which Dr. Wright had been associated with for many
years, attended the services in a body. There were also present a
large delegation of the Laurens Masonic lodge. The board of
directors of the Otsego county sanitarium, as well as many friends
from Otsego and surrounding counties, were in attendance. The
Cooperstown delegation included: Charles A. Scott, R. W. Ellworth,
Judge Adrian A. Pierson, Harry H. Willsey, John F. Moakler, and
Newton D. Gilmore, all of the First National bank; Dr. F. J. Atwell,
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Rose, and Mr. and Mrs. W. I. Smith.
Others present from out-of-town included: Dr. and
Mrs. Dean Harrison of Washington Mills, Dr. and Mrs. E. C. Gregory
of Whitney Point, Mrs. Margaret
Pattengill of ?Ron?, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Jarvis of
Ilion, Mr. and Mrs. Burns of Herkimer, Mr. and Mrs. Van B. Pruyn
of Morris, Judge Henry L. Shove of Oneonta.
