Cooperstown, July 17---Miss Helen Mary Webster, the
oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Orrin Webster of 91 Beaver street,
this village, and Frank H. Mele, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mele of
Hartwick, were quietly married at the residence of the Rev. N. B.
Ripley in Milford on Tuesday afternoon.
They were attended by Mr. and Mrs. Clifford L.
Russell of this village. The bride wore a gown of flowered
georgette, with hat and shoes to match. Immediately after the
ceremony, Mr. and Mrs. Mele left on a honeymoon trip to Buffalo and
Niagara Falls. Upon their return next week to Cooperstown, they will
board for a time, beginning housekeeping in the fall. Both are
well-known and popular young residents of the village, and their many
friends will extend congratulations and best wishes for long years of
happily wedded life.
Mr. Mele is one of the chauffeurs on the Mary Imogene
Bassett hospital ambulance, and is also popularly known by baseball
fans for his splendid work on the Otsego Lake community ball team,
during the present and past seasons.
