Dies in New Lisbon

Lived for More Than Forty Years in That Township--
Funeral Saturday of This Week---Burial in Hartwick

New Lisbon, March 24---Firman L. Harrington, an aged and for many years, a well known resident of New Lisbon, died at the family home Wednesday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock from heart trouble and complications. Hiss illness was of a long and painful duration and for the past year it has kept him confined to his home most of the time.
The deceased was born at West Monroe, Oswego county, December13, 1850, his parents being Alanson and Harriet (Johnson) Harrington. His marriage to Elizabeth Hutchins occurred November 5, 1890, and their entire married life had been passed in this and neighboring vicinity. He was a man highly esteemed as a loving husband and father and a kind neighbor and friend. He will not only be greatly missed in his home, but by a wide circle of friends.
Surviving is his wife who has so devotedly cared for him through all his long illness, five daughters, Mrs. Urania Dutton of Edmeston, Mrs. Eva Nearing of Mt. Vision, R. D., Mrs. Lora Collier, Laurens, Mrs. Ethel Naylor of Mt. Vision, and Miss Bernice Harrington; one son, Roy Harrington, residing at home, and nine grandchildren. The funeral will be held at his late home Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. Clyde J. Hurlbutt, pastor of the Baptist church at Mt. Vision, having charge of the services. Interment will be in Hartwick cemetery.

Mrs. William Dutton of Edmeston is spending a few days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Firman Harrington. The latter is seriously ill with heart trouble.

Margaret McClenaghan Woodrow, 95, 20 Jefferson Avenue, died Saturday, January 20 at her home following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, January 22 at the Lewis Funeral Home, with the Rev. Eugene B. Umberger, pastor of the United Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Westville Cemetery, Westville.
She was born February 2, 1872 in Ballykeel, County Downs, Ireland, the daughter of William and Sarah (Hanna) McClenaghan. She was married to William Henry Woodrow on Sept. 8, 1896 in Hastings-on-the Hudson. He died in 1951. She was a member of the Milford Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Grace Stickles, Mrs. Beulah Schempf and Mrs. Ethyl Kirkpatirck, all of Oneonta, Mrs. Sally Collins of Milford and Miss Ruth Woodrow of Binghamton; a son, William R. of Orlando, Florida; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call at the Lewis Funeral Home at their convenience until service time.
