Tesla, Michael G. 1908-1999 Earlville NY Obituary

Michael G. Tesla

EARLVILLE — Mr. Michael G. Tesla, 90 years, of South Lebanon Road, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 22, 1999, at University Hospital, Syracuse.
He was born Sept. 25, 1908, in Barnesborow, Pa., the son of Michael and Theresa Stupak Tesla, and attended local schools. He served with the United States Army during World War II in the Central Europe, Rhineland and Rome-Arno battles.
In October 1938, Mr. Tesla married the former Henrietta Kelsey, in St. Mary's Church, Oneonta. She predeceased him on July 27, 1989.
He was a self-employed dairy farmer in Sherburne and Columbus until his retirement. He was a communicant of St. Malachy's Church in Sherburne.
Mr. Telsa is survived by a daughter, Michaeleen G. Tesla of Sherburne: a sister-in-law, Louise Tesla of Florida; his grandchildren, Lisa and Bill Wyman of Earlville, John Jr. and Jennifer Zbydniewski, Jona Zbydniewski, Michael and Amy Zbydniewsli, all of Sherburne, Gina and Pete Trask of Dundee; 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He is also survived by his dear service buddy, Mac Farrow of Earlville.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Theresa Tesla in 1948; two brothers, Andrew and Joseph Tesla; and four sisters, Theresa Selepchak, Mary Salley, Sister Concepta and Sister Assumpta.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 25, 1999, from the Burgess Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne, followed by a 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial from St. Malachy's Church, Sherburne.
Burial with full military honors will be made in the Hillington Cemetery, Morris.
Friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Friday, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
A prayer service will be held at the funeral home at 8 p.m., Friday.

Warren J. Rudolph

BURDETTE---Warren J. Rudolph, 34, of Ithaca, died March 3 of a heart attack while attending service in Tabernacle Baptist Church, Ithaca.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p. m. Wednesday at that chruch, with the Rev. Harold Cole, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Ithaca, with military rites. The body will be at the church today, with calling hours set from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m., by way of the Lincoln Street entrance.
Mr. Rudolph was the son of Arthur and Louise (Jaquish) Rudolph. He married Betty Hanson of Oneonta, who survives.
He was a veteran of World War Two, serving in the Field Artillery.
Also surviving are his parents, a son, Rodney; a daughter Eileen; two sisters, Mrs. Arthur Phelps, Ithaca; Mrs. Frank Personius, Burdette.
