Clayton C. Gregory

Clayton C. Gregory, 75, of Eden Park Nursing Home and formerly of the Ropewalk apts., Oneida St. died Tuesday, August 13, 1985 at the Home.
He was born in Mr. Vision, NY, son of Smith B. and Anna Nellis Gregory. He graduated from Hartwick High School and the Utica School of Commerce. Mr. Gregory served in WWII in the Signal Corps and was stationed in the Pentagon, Washington, D.C.
He worked in the plumbing and heating business, having been associated with the Hameline Company, Inc. in Utica for over 20 years. In 1957, he went into business as a Manufacturer's Representative and retired from this business in 1982.
Mr. Gregory was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. He was past President of the Utica Assn. Of Credit Men and was a member and past Rector of the Clinton Kiwanis Club. He was a member of Utica Lodge No. 47 F. & AM, the Yahnundasis Bodies AASR, having served as Master of the Lodge of Perfection and of Ziyara Shrine Temple. Mr. Gregory was also an active member of the Utica School of Commerce Alumni Assn. and served as an officer of its Board of Directors.
He is survived by several cousins.
The funeral will be Thursday at 11:00 at the Stevens, Friedel & Williams Funeral Home, Inc., Oxford Rd., New Hartford with the Rev. Craig Davis-Johnson officiating. Interment will be in Hartwick Cemetery, Hartwick, NY at 2 p.m. Calling hours will be Thrusday from 10:00 until 11:00 prior to the service. Friends may consider the Tabernacle Church Forward Fund in his memory or a favorite charity.

Photos and obituary were in the Mary Boice Gale collection.  You will note one of the photos was addressed to her.  I believe he was a cousin.  There were more photos also in case a family member is interested.

Mrs. Amelia Wright Dies
Wednesday at Mr. Vision

Had Spent Her Life of Eighty-Seven Years
In Town Where She Was Born
-----Funeral Saturday

Mt. Vision, Dec. 19---Mrs. Amelia (Marlette) Wright died at her home Wednesday at 3 p.m. She was born December 4, 1842, and had lived all of her life in or near Mr. Vision.
She had been a life long member of the Methodist Episcopal church and always attended as long as health permitted. She was a devoted mother and a loving neighbor, always doing for some one.
Mrs. Wright is survived by four children, Silas Wright of West Winfield, George Wright of New York city, Miss Lena Wright, a teacher at New Rochelle, and Mrs. Charles Ackley of Mt. Vision, also several grandchildren, and great grandchildren, besides many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services which will be held at the home Saturday at 11 a.m. Will be conducted by her pastor, Rev. N. B. Graves.
