["The Otsego Farmer & Republican" (Cooperstown, NY), Thurs., Nov. 12, 1959, Page Two]

So far, I can't find this couple on any census. They lived next to my family on East Street, in Edmeston, NY for awhile. Their children were Douglas, Ronald, Olive, Marvin, Larry, and Billie (a girl).
Olive and I were best friends and we wrote to each other a few years after they moved elsewhere. Delanson, NY was one of the last places they lived.
The kids and I spent many summer days playing and swimming in Wharton Creek and evenings playing hide and seek and softball.
Doug had an old navy raft that we hauled up the creek and floated downstream on many a time. Unfortunately, it washed away with high water.
Douglas would have been born around 1932 or so. The rest were born around 1938 or after.
Their father, William,  died in his 40s of a heart attack. My mother and I attended the funeral at Morris, NY.  He and Geraldine are buried at Hillington Cemetery in Morris, Otsego Co., NY.  Geraldine died in 2006.  I have a photo of their headstone when I locate it.
