RICHARD STAFFORD

Richard Bradt Stafford, 66, of 5 South Broad Street, Morris, a retired employee of the Electrical Components Division of the Bendix Corporation, died unexpectedly Saturday, May 31, at Fox Hospital.
He was born July 21, 1908 in Earlville, a son of Walter and Alice (Matteson) Stafford. He married Margaret Austin on June 22, 1935 in Arlington, N. J.
Mr. Stafford had been employed by the Bendix Corporation at Sidney, working for some time in the experimental division, retiring several years ago.
He was one of the oldest active members of the Morris Fire Department; an active member of the Butternut Valley Rod and Gun Club; a member of the Otsego County Peace Officers Association which he had served as president, secretary and treasurer.
Mr. Stafford was currently serving as Clerk of the Village of Morris. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Morris.
Surviving are his wife; two sons, Richard B. Stafford, Baldwinsville, and Peter A. Stafford, Morris; a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Page, Dallas, Texas; a brother, Robert Stafford, Morris; six grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services was held Tuesday, June 3 from the First Baptist Church, Morris with Rev. Winston B. Maricle, pastor, officiating.
Burial was made in Hillington Cemetery, Morris.

Henry S. Pardee

SIDNEY---Henry S. Pardee, 67, of 26 Liberty St., Sidney, and Idumea Road, Unadilla, a retired Sidney businessman, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Dec. 2, at The Hospital, Sidney.
He was born July 13, 1908 in New Berlin, a son of Fred and Irene (Matteson) Pardee. He married Anne Esposito.
Mr. Pardee owned and operated a stationery store and insurance agency in Sidney from 1945 until his retirement in 1962.
He was a graduate of the Oxford School of Business, Cambridge, Mass. He has been secretary of the New York State Bird Dogs Trail Association for several years.
Surviving are his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Susan McCurdy, Baltimore, Md.; a son, John H. Pardee, Sidney; two brothers, Sidney Pardee and
C. Fred Pardee, New Berlin; a sister, Mrs. Ellen Kaul, New Berlin; a nephew, and several nieces.
Funeral services will be at the C. H. Landers Chapel, Sidney, at 2 p.m., Friday, with the Rev. William Bartz, Unadilla, officiating.
Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Sidney.
Friends may call at the funeral home at their convenience Thursday.
The family will be in attendance from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday.
