Gregory, Emogene Babcock 1848-1932 Hartwick Obituary

Lifelong Resident of New Lisbon Succumbs

Hartwick, Aug. 4---Mrs. Emogene (Babcock) Gregory, 84, widow of the late Hiram Gregory, died this morning at 6 o'clock at the home of her son, Fred, in New Lisbon. The funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. Clyde J. Hurlburt, pastor of the Mt. Vision Baptist church, officiating. Burial will be in the Gregory cemetery in New Lisbon.
Born, August 1, 1848, a daughter of Henry and Julia Babcock, she was a lifelong resident of New Lisbon. Surviving are two sons, Smith and Fred Gregory, two grandsons, two sisters, Mrs. Chester Harrington, all of New Lisbon, and Mrs. Bertha Curry of Highland, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Gregory had a host of friends who will sincerely mourn her death.

G. Clayton Peck

New Lisbon, Aug. 9---G. Clayton Peck, 84, oldest and best known resident of this village, died at his home here at 12:30 o'clock this noon. The funeral will be held from his late home Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. E. E. Hutchinson, pastor of the Zion church at Morris, will officiate. Interment will be in the old church cemetery in Morris. The obituary will appear in a later edition of The Star.
